The clouds open up as the rain stops pouring down, in a new single titled “The Light” by Atlanta-based artist Boyd United. Life is full of twists and turns, ups and downs, the prosperous times and times when things don’t go right – which Boyd knows all about.
The single “The Light” begins with a strumming and tasty picking ukulele which builds into the staple for a Christian song recipe. The song digests in excellence with a full-rounded sound, well executed in performance and production quality. When the drums are introduced, you can feel the hits to the soul.
The lyrics have a strong presence of God and change. Boyd United has a past of criminal activity before he saw the light. In life, we get lost until we experience the event that creates a chance in a positive way.
The hook, being the main component, shines pleasingly and is easily felt in the heart. The melody is a feel-good vibe, I cannot help myself from singing ‘The Light’ with Boyd and feeling his presence in every word spoken. I can feel the changes he has made, and continuously make to better his life.
